Welcome

Welcome to our blog and thank you for taking the time to read our story. After over two years of waiting to hear back from the State Department, Sean finally received an email and was accepted as a Foreign Service Specialist to start in September of 2015. Needless to say, this news changed our lives.

Sean and I had be planning on getting married for sometime but we were in no rush. However, once Sean was accepted we decided to get married right away. We had a small ceremony on October 10, 2015 at one of our favorite parks in D.C. Never known to pass up a party, we hosted another wedding celebration on January 16, 2016 were we got to eat, drink, dance and be merry with tons of friends and family. This party doubled as a wedding celebration and a going away party and was absolutely perfect.

As former Peace Corps Volunteers (Hannah- Mali Sean - Kazakhstan) we have a shared love for adventure and the unknown. We hope by updating this blog we can keep our friends and family informed about our travels. We also, hope that it is useful to anyone living or contemplating living as an expat.
